Balancing App Development and Awareness
On this day, I decided to take a short break from working on my website project to focus on our midterm laboratory exam in our Mobile App Development subject. The task was to create a Broadcast SMS app, which required a good understanding of messaging functions. To get some inspiration and a clearer idea of how to make the SMS app work properly, I first started developing a “Find My Car” app. Working on this project helped me experiment with different components and understand how to use location and message features effectively.
Aside from that, I also attended a school program that featured an important lecture about Republic Act No. 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, and Republic Act No. 11930, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act. Even though I already had some background knowledge about these topics, attending the program helped me deepen my understanding and gain new perspectives on the importance of protecting individuals—especially children—from different forms of exploitation.
This day was both productive and meaningful, as I was able to work on my app while also learning about significant social issues that promote awareness and responsibility.
